  Background:

Generic learning at museums and art institutions is a world wide standard and has been promoted as such by the International Council Of Museums (ICOM) during the general conference in Shanghai in 2010. German and Dutch museums especially have become pioneers in the development of cultural education modules. ARTGATE and Susanne Ristow (project leader of the first educational pilot project at the National Museum China) attempt to support art institutions with the development of educational programs for specific exhibitions and projects. A training on “methods of training the audiences” invites staff from art institutions and museums to learn from the education methods of German (state) museums and participate in an entertaining training in July 2013.
